When I first opened but this tea I thought - weirrrrd.
I am not a big fan of liquorice (licorice) flavors but there was just something intriguing by the mash-up of flavors and it smelled down right incredible. So, I bit the bullet and made the Liquorice and Peppermint tea my first tea to try from the many samples that TeaPigs sent.
Wow. It's yummy! The tea itself is sweet all on it's own - so don't add anything to it. The licorice flavor isn't overpowering at all - if anything it's more of a side effect like the smooth aftertaste of a root beer.
The mint really is the show runner for this tea with just subtle "liquorice" tones. I was super surprised by this tea and rushed home to share it with my husband Jordan who was also intrigued by the flavors.
I am pretty excited to try all of these teas - it's been a few weeks since I have been able to focus on my tea blogging. I've got these teas plus a few from Teatulia that I need to knock out over the next few weeks so get ready for an onslaught of tea review awesome-ness!
I rate Liquorice and Peppermint Tea from TeaPigs at 4 out of 5 stars!
