My tea prep is super quick now - no messes on the counters from little leaves falling out of the small holes or because I tried to fit too much tea in an infuser...nope. No messes here - plus it's beautiful to watch the tea leaves expand and swirl around in the water as it steeps! It's like a cool version of my classy glass teapots! I have the 16 oz tea maker which is the perfect size for a nice sized cuppa! If you are having tea for two or more you can buy the larger size.
I used Adagio's Twitter message updates and watched my tea order make its way across the country to me and when I arrived home yesterday I found two boxes from Adagio! The first box I opened was the box David made up for me with the Ceylon Sonata tea, the ingenuiTEA maker, a box of Black Tea samples and a neat little guide to tea book! I was so EXCITED! Talk about taking extra thought to the box - and what I liked, too!
Adagio got huge points in my book for this thoughtfulness and obviously I am reviewing them now! You don't find that kind of customer service with every online store. David is my new tea BFF - so here's to you David! Thanks SO much for making my week with tea goodies!
Okay, okay now let's talk about the tea...
The title says it all, this tea is like a sonata in my mouth. I should disclose that I LOVE ceylon teas. They are often smooth, sweet enough on their own, hardly ever need anything added and great both hot and cool. You can, of course, add rock sugar or a dash of honey to bring out the flavors but I like my teas straight out of the brew with nothing added and this Ceylon Sonata does not disappoint.
I have already had several cups of this tea and it's an easy sipper throughout the day and evening. If you are a beginner tea drinker, it's hard to mess this tea up and it tastes delicious!
Check out other black teas that I've reviewed!
