So I am slowly working my way through the heaps of teas I ordered and received from Adagio Teas this week!
So far so good, there hasn't been any that I just really didn't like. I decided to clear up my counters from bags and boxes and placed my leaves into jars for a nice tea display. So many pretty teas to choose from at the Siler's!
Today I am sipping on the Berry Blues Herbal Tea sample and it is scrumptious! The tea itself is just gorgeous with nice, plump pieces of apple, rose hips, hibiscus and blueberries the colors are beautiful before you even put them in the water. This tea calls for 1 heaping teaspoon per cup and requires a 5-10 minute steep time at 212 degrees (boiling). As you are steeping the water instantly becomes a pink hue and slowly grows darker.
I use the ingenuiTEA Maker from Adagio Teas to make my brews and you can see the color and the leaves so well! The Berry Blues herbal tea is one of the prettiest teas I have ever steeped. The colors are vibrant and the aroma is incredible.
The tea is sweet to start with a tangy after bite. The flavors are all so equally blended that you fill like you are truly drinking liquid fruit. I started out with zero added sugar just to get the first taste of the tea but I added a dab of sugar towards the end to see if I could mask some of the bite. Results: Best fruit tea I've ever tasted!
All in all, this is a fantastic tea. I did add a little sugar to make it all smooth around the edges and that's what I would recommend if the tangy bite is off putting to you. I definitely see this tea being mighty tasty as a cold brew, too.
I rate this tea a 5 out of 5 stars and I'm adding it to my favorites!
